What I Said
I argued that BSX was still a constructive Buy because the business was showing solid operating momentum: 11.6% revenue growth, 32.3% EBITDA growth, and 99.0% net income growth in Q1 2026, with TTM free cash flow of $2,807.1M. I also said the valuation looked reasonable as long as management could keep expanding margins while integrating acquisitions, even with reimbursement pressure as a key risk.

Why It’s Working (Or Not)
So far, that call has not worked: if I had bought BSX at my entry price, I would be down 8.8% over the review window. The peer group has been broadly higher over the same stretch, which makes BSX’s decline look like stock-specific weakness rather than a sector-wide move. The original operating thesis has not been validated by the price action, and the market is clearly not rewarding the margin-expansion-and-integration story yet. I cannot point to the reported numbers alone to explain the drop, but the key point is that the stock has moved the wrong way for a Buy call.
