What I Said

I argued that AEHR’s product differentiation and liquidity were not enough to offset the weak operating backdrop: revenue was still falling sharply year over year, margins were deeply negative, and cash flow was burning. My view was that the valuation left too little room for error unless the company could show sustained improvement in revenue, EBITDA, and cash generation.

Why It’s Working (Or Not)

So far, following my Sell call would have earned about 21.5%, because the stock has fallen from my entry price. That outcome is consistent with the original thesis: the weak fundamentals I highlighted have not yet been disproven, and the market has continued to price AEHR more cautiously. The peer group has also been broadly lower over the same stretch, which tells me this has been a tough semiconductor-equipment tape overall, but AEHR’s decline still fits the specific risk I flagged around fragile fundamentals and limited valuation cushion. I do not have evidence here that the revenue, margin, or cash-flow picture has improved enough to invalidate the call.

What Could Still Prove Me Wrong

If AEHR starts showing sustained year-over-year revenue growth, a clear move toward positive EBITDA, and a visible reduction in cash burn, that would directly challenge my thesis. I would also be wrong if the company’s valuation re-rates higher without those operating improvements, because that would mean the market is no longer treating the weak fundamentals as the dominant issue. Until then, the main thing that could still prove me wrong is a real, durable turnaround in the metrics I cited rather than a short-lived bounce.
