What I Said

I argued that Sky Harbour’s niche infrastructure model and long-duration contracts were not enough to justify the stock’s valuation because the business still showed negative operating margin, negative free cash flow, and elevated leverage. My view was that the equity was already pricing in a successful scaling outcome before the financial statements had shown consistent earnings conversion or less reliance on outside capital.

Why It’s Working (Or Not)

Over this tracking window, a short position would have lost about 1.8%, so the call has not worked yet. SKYH has drifted slightly higher from my entry, which leaves the original valuation concern unconfirmed at the price level. The peer group has been mostly lower over the same stretch, so SKYH has not followed the broader direction of the comparable names. That means the specific thesis that the stock was already discounting a successful scaling outcome has not been validated by the market action to date.

What Could Still Prove Me Wrong

If SKYH continues to hold up while the comparable names remain weak, that would further undermine my bearish setup. More importantly, if the company starts showing sustained positive operating margin and free cash flow while leverage comes down, the core risk/reward argument behind my Sell call would be weakened. A decisive move higher from here would also suggest the market is willing to keep paying for the scaling story despite the balance-sheet and cash-flow concerns I highlighted.
