Nine companies met our criteria from the nine 10-K annual reports filed with the SEC on 10 September 2026. To qualify, a company must have filed an annual 10-K report on the target date and have a prior-year 10-K available for a direct year-over-year comparison.
SEC What Changed Methodology
Each company is scored on how similar its current annual filing text is to the prior year. Scores run from 0 to 1 — a score of 1 means the language is essentially unchanged; a lower score means more has changed. We flag three sections that carry the most disclosure signal: Business, Risk Factors, and MD&A. Recent research suggests that lower scores indicate that a company has made significant changes to their filings, these changes are often buried in the filings. If a company was to report positive news, they would likely do so in the form of a press release or statement on their website. The large changers have often underperformed in the market, while the stable-language filers have earned positive abnormal returns.
Key Takeaways
- Palo Alto Networks Inc (High) — Palo Alto is leaning harder into a multi-platform growth strategy, and the key question is whether the new acquisitions and products can be integrated fast enough to justify the added complexity.
- MasterCraft Boat Holdings, Inc. (High) — MasterCraft is no longer just cleaning up its portfolio; it is now integrating Marine Products while taking on new climate and PFAS compliance risk.
- Pluri Inc. (High) — The key change is Pluri’s new EIB loan sale-and-conversion disclosure, which could reshape the capital structure and dilute shareholders if completed.
- EGAIN Corp (Medium) — eGain is widening its story from customer service software to enterprise AI knowledge infrastructure, backed by new third-party validation.
- ALLIANCE ENTERTAINMENT HOLDING CORP (Medium) — Alliance is leaning harder into exclusive content deals, with Amazon MGM now joining Paramount as a key distribution win.
- IBEX Ltd (Medium) — IBEX is leaning harder into AI-led customer service, but the filing also flags that growth may require more capital and faces tougher competition.
- Gold.com, Inc. (Low) — This filing is mostly cosmetic, but the added reference to two owned mints modestly reinforces Gold.com’s vertical integration story.
- AURA SYSTEMS INC (Low) — This filing is mostly a cleanup: cybersecurity risk remains on the books, but there is no new material issue or change in company direction.
- CONSUMERS BANCORP INC /OH/ (Low) — No material disclosure change can be confirmed from the provided filing excerpt.

Palo Alto Networks’ filing shows a more aggressive push to build out its platform through acquisitions and new product launches. Management is now explicitly tying growth to observability, identity security, endpoint, and AI/agentic capabilities, while also signaling heavier investment in R&D and governance. The overall message is that the company is broadening beyond core cybersecurity into adjacent enterprise software categories.
Main Changes
- The forward-looking statement list now explicitly includes "new revenues" and "demand," signaling management is framing growth around broader monetization and market demand, not just recurring revenue and profitability.
- The company added a new acquisition disclosure: it completed Chronosphere, CyberArk, Koi, and Portkey, and signed deals for Embrace and Console, saying these transactions form "next-generation" observability, identity security, and AI/agentic capabilities.
- Business language now says it introduced "PAN-OS 12.1 Orion, Prisma AIRS 2.0, NGTS, and Prisma AIRS 3.0" and will "significantly invest" in R&D to extend the portfolio.
- The company also added that it achieved Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules and Privacy Recognition for Processors certification and strengthened its enterprise-wide AI governance program.
Watch Items
- The acquisition spree suggests Palo Alto is accelerating platform expansion into observability, identity, endpoint, and AI workflow tools, which could broaden its addressable market but also raises integration risk.
- The emphasis on new offerings and heavier R&D spending points to continued investment ahead of near-term margin pressure if execution slips.
- Added privacy and AI governance language may help with enterprise sales and regulatory scrutiny, especially as the company pushes more AI-enabled products.

MasterCraft’s new filing adds a major acquisition: it says the company completed a merger with Marine Products, which is likely the biggest strategic change in the report. The Business section also introduces new regulatory risk around California climate reporting and PFAS, both of which could require more compliance work and spending. Overall, the filing points to a larger, more complex company with more integration and regulatory execution risk.
Main Changes
- The Business section now says the company "completed the merger with Marine Products" on May 15, 2026, and that each Marine Products share was converted into 0.232 shares of MasterCraft stock, signaling a major expansion through acquisition.
- The filing adds that, because of the Marine Products transaction, the company "may become subject to SB 261" in California, which would require biennial climate-related financial risk reports and could force new systems, controls, and reporting.
- It also adds a new PFAS disclosure, saying the company "is or may become subject" to evolving PFAS laws on product content, reporting, sales, and remediation, with possible product or process changes if PFAS are found in the supply chain.
- The MD&A now frames results around 2026 and 2025 and notes the Aviara and NauticStar businesses remain discontinued, while adding the Marine Products merger as a new business combination event.
Watch Items
- The Marine Products merger is a strategic step that could reshape scale, product mix, and integration priorities, so investors should watch for synergy targets and execution risk.
- California climate reporting and PFAS compliance could raise operating costs and expand disclosure obligations, especially if the company has to change products, suppliers, or manufacturing processes.
- The added regulatory language suggests management sees a broader compliance burden ahead, which could pressure margins if environmental rules tighten further.

Pluri’s filing adds a new subsidiary, Cellav, and sharpens its business description around a broader cell-technology platform spanning health, foodtech, and bio-farming. The bigger development is a new disclosure that the EIB loan may be sold to a third party, potentially a related party, with a possible future conversion into equity. That introduces both financing flexibility and meaningful dilution and governance risk.
Main Changes
- The company added a new wholly owned subsidiary, "Cellav Health and Aesthetics Ltd. ("Cellav")", to the corporate structure, expanding the list of operating businesses under Pluri Biotech.
- The Business section now reframes the company around "cell-products services, therapeutics and related technologies" across two core areas: "Human Health and Longevity" and "Food Technology ("Foodtech") and Bio-Farming,"" with emphasis on "scalability, cost-efficiency, reproducibility" and industrial-scale manufacturing.
- Pluri added a new disclosure that the "EIB Loan" may be sold to a third party, possibly a related party, and that the company may seek to convert all or part of the debt into equity.
- The filing adds explicit risk language that a related-party loan sale or conversion could create conflicts of interest, lead to dilution, restrictive covenants, governance rights, or other terms that are "not as favorable" as an arm’s-length deal.
Watch Items
- The EIB loan process could become a liquidity and capital-structure event if the debt is sold and later converted into equity, which could materially dilute shareholders.
- A related-party purchaser raises governance and conflict-of-interest concerns, so investors should watch the Special Committee process and final transaction terms.
- The broader business framing suggests Pluri is leaning harder into platform-based commercialization across health and food applications, which could signal a more focused growth narrative.

It also adds a notable Gartner Leader citation and updates the market narrative with more aggressive AI adoption and automation expectations. Overall, the filing signals a stronger push to position the company as a strategic AI infrastructure vendor.
Main Changes
- The business description was rewritten from "AI knowledge hub solution" to "AI-driven knowledge management for the enterprise," expanding the framing from customer experience to customers, employees, and AI agents.
- New positioning says the platform "centralizes enterprise knowledge and puts it to work across customer service, employee support, and AI-powered automation," which is broader than the prior focus on improving customer experience and reducing cost.
- The company added external validation, saying Gartner named eGain a Leader in the first-ever Magic Quadrant for Customer Service Knowledge Management Systems, positioned highest for Ability to Execute and furthest for Completeness of Vision.

- The added Gartner recognition may support sales credibility and competitive positioning, especially with large enterprises and government customers.

- ibex added a new description of "Wave iX" as a "managed AI-powered customer experience solution set" with AI virtual agents, real-time translation, and intelligent routing across voice, chat, and SMS.
- The risk factor list now adds "our access to financing and capital expenditure requirements to support our operations and growth" and "our ability to compete effectively in the customer experience and business process outsourcing industry."
- The company also broadened its market-risk wording to include inflation, rising interest rates, recession, and foreign exchange fluctuations.
Watch Items
- The AI language signals ibex is positioning itself as more than a traditional call-center outsourcer, which could support higher-value contracts if clients adopt the platform.
- The added financing and capex risk suggests growth may require more capital, making liquidity and funding access more important to the investment case.
- The explicit competition and macro-risk additions point to a tougher operating backdrop and potentially more pressure on margins and client retention.

Gold.com’s filing is mostly a name and wording refresh, with the biggest substantive update being that it now says it owns two mints rather than one silver mint. The rest of the business description and risk discussion looks largely unchanged, with the same emphasis on precious-metals volatility, regulation, and ESG-related pressure.
Main Changes
- The company now says it "owns two mints" instead of the prior wording that it "owns its own silver mint," which broadens the description of its manufacturing footprint.
- The business overview was updated to use the Gold.com name throughout, but the core model remains the same: wholesale precious metals, direct-to-consumer sales, and secured lending.
- Risk factor wording was lightly cleaned up, including "infringement claims" instead of "infringements claims" and "recognize" instead of "recognizes," without adding new risk themes.
Watch Items
- Owning two mints suggests a larger in-house production capability, which could support margins and supply control if sustained.
- The risk section does not appear to add new material exposures, so investors should view this as mostly a branding and wording update rather than a risk reset.
- Because the filing still emphasizes commodity volatility, demand swings, and ESG/tax/regulatory pressure, the core operating risks remain intact.

Aura Systems did not add a new cybersecurity problem or disclose a material incident. The company mostly streamlined its risk-factor wording while keeping the same message: cybersecurity is monitored by management and the Audit Committee, and existing controls are intended to reduce exposure. The business section also remains highly concentrated, with one customer still driving most revenue.
Main Changes
- The risk factor still says the company’s information technology systems may be negatively affected by cybersecurity threats, and it still says it has not experienced any material cybersecurity events.
- The filing keeps the disclosure that the Audit Committee oversees cybersecurity risk and that the CFO provides periodic updates on mitigation efforts.
- The company continues to say management uses safeguards such as multi-factor authentication, restricted firewall settings, network monitoring, phishing tests, and backup recovery improvements.
- The new filing removes some duplicated cybersecurity governance text and a flag showing management positions or committees responsible, but the underlying message is unchanged.
Watch Items
- Cybersecurity remains a stated operational risk, but there is no new incident or escalation, so this looks like disclosure cleanup rather than a new threat.
- Investors should note the company is still relying on basic controls and board oversight, which matters if its systems become more important to operations.
- The business section still shows concentration risk, with CBOL accounting for 55% of revenue, so any operational disruption could matter more than the cybersecurity wording suggests.

Why SEC Filing Changes Matter
Research by Cohen et al. (Lazy Prices, 2020) — using the complete history of SEC filings from 1995 to 2014 — shows that when firms make active changes to their annual disclosures, those changes convey an important signal about future operations and returns. A portfolio that shorted "changers" and bought "non-changers" earned over 22% per year in annual alpha historically. Changes to the Risk Factors section, Business description, and language referring to the executive team were especially informative. Critically, these returns accrued gradually as information was later revealed through news and earnings — not at the time of filing — suggesting many investors remain inattentive to these simple, public signals. This snapshot is a starting point for deeper investigation, not a buy or sell recommendation.
